Nageldesigntrends im Frühjahr: 3 Fragen an Nagelmodellage-Expertin Stefanie

Nail design trends in spring: 3 questions for nail modeling expert Stefanie

In our interview, nail design expert Stefanie tells you what trends and tips she has for your spring nails.

ND24: Which colors do you use more for nail design in spring?
Nail design expert Stefanie: In spring I like to use soft tones such as light blue , lilac , peach and pink in different shades - all pastel colors are particularly popular at this time of year. I also often use natural beige-brown tones that are reminiscent of different types of wood during this time.

ND24: Which nail design colors don't suit spring?
Nail design expert Stefanie: Everyone can wear what they like and suit their type. In the past, for example, black was not used as a nail polish color in spring. Today, however, things are completely different, because this color looks sophisticated at any time of the year, especially on short, straight nails. However, when using stickers and other eye-catching nail art, I would generally make sure that the nail does not appear too overloaded.

ND24: What to do if the nail art sticker doesn't stick at Easter?
Nail design expert Stefanie: It can happen that, despite careful preparation, the nail art sticker simply cannot hold on to the nail. In this case I put a small dot of tip glue under the sticker or the protruding area. A slightly less beautiful, but very durable result is achieved when the nail art sticker is applied to the nail under the gel . It does not show its shape, color and shine as clearly, but forms a flat surface and cannot move replace.

Spring - everything goes 🌷

One thing should be said in advance: there are no NO-GOs when it comes to spring nail design classics, says our expert Stefanie. However, different application techniques, as well as artistic nail art and special colors ensure eye-catchers that fit this time perfectly. The experienced nail designer's customers particularly want soft pastel tones in spring. The color palette of the nude range , from light brown to taupe to subtle gray , is also used in the nail salon at this time of year. Nail art stickers with spring motifs are particularly clever.

Nail design: Which application technique is popular in spring?

Around Easter time, subtle, milky colors are in demand, which can be applied over the entire fingernail without French and ensure a well-groomed look, explains nail designer Stefanie. Another application technique for a natural style is also very popular during this time: the baby boomer look . To do this, the French is applied to the entire nail in a flowing progression from the tip of the nail, instead of in a hard-defined line. This special sub-form of the ombré look aims for a very natural appearance of the nail, which is just as suitable for celebrations as it is for working in customer contact.

Nail art with Easter stickers🐰: Choose the right sticker

Easter bunny , Easter egg , flower or heart – the nail art stickers for Easter offer a large selection of small works of art. The self-adhesive stickers make it possible to apply decorative details to one accent nail or several nails on one hand. Nail design expert Stefanie recommends choosing smaller motifs so that the sticker fits well on the nail. Under no circumstances should the sticker touch the cuticles, as it cannot find a permanent hold there. The material should not be too stiff, otherwise it will not fit perfectly to the natural nail. If it is too thick and high, a curvature can appear on the nail, which many customers find uncomfortable. In addition, raised stickers usually last shorter, which is why expert Stefanie recommends applying the gloss twice to gel nails with Easter stickers, for example, to even out any unevenness.

  • Choose small motifs
  • Do not stick stickers on cuticles
  • Prefer soft sticker material
  • Avoid unevenness with stickers
