Nail designer Stefanie: “ Neon colors have long been a trend that looks super modern and refreshing. However, for many people it is out of the question, mostly for professional reasons, to wear these bright colors as clothing, for example as a shirt or trousers. Nevertheless, these colors inspire and in nail design they offer the perfect opportunity to bring trendy splashes of color into everyday life. In the nail salon, young customers as well as the 65+ generation choose the look.”

During the day the toes disappear into the shoe anyway and in the evening they can then come into their own. In general, I find a pedicure in neon colors very attractive. Alternatively, small details such as stampings in neon colors for a decorative nail with a nude base tone or a neon french instead of a full cover may be possible in some professions.”
How do I achieve the neon look in the short term?
Nail designer Stefanie: “The neon nails are a great choice for short vacations, events and parties - you can't always just keep wearing them during the week. My trick: Even if you wear gel or acrylic nails , you can spice up your look at the weekend with classic nail polish in neon colors and then easily remove it on Sunday evening for the work week!”
Your tips for applying neon colors?
Nail designer Stefanie: “The bright neon colors are sometimes not as rich and opaque when first applied as other tones. In this case, for optimal coverage and color brilliance, I recommend applying three thin coats to the nail and letting each one cure individually under UV light, rather than applying two thick coats.”
