“Classically, acrylic nail design is a system with acrylic powder 🧂 and modeling liquid - acrylic liquid 🧪 - which are mixed together in a certain ratio and thus create a particularly stable plastic,” explains nail designer Stefanie. An activator ensures curing as soon as liquid and powder come into contact with each other. Using acrylic is easy, but requires a bit of sensitivity when it comes to the correct ratio of the individual ingredients to each other: First, the acrylic brush is dipped into the liquid and wiped off, then the tip is dipped into the powder so that the reaction of the two components forms an acrylic ball, that can be applied. Since classic acrylic dries directly on the nail (self-drying), this type of nail design is comparatively time-saving and the products should be processed quickly.
